Burning Disks is Easy
MDR Express is NAI’s most cost effective MDR option transforming how DICOM
images are burned to disk and viewed. Transfer DICOM format images directly from
any imaging modality, workstation or PACS to DVD or CDR media. MDR Express burns
DICOM images in their original digital format from up to four DICOM devices for
off-line review, treatment planning, referrals, patient communication and
archiving. MDR Express is easy to use and extends the value of any digital
environment or PACS network. MDR Express can burn multiple patients to disk and
provides an advanced DICOM viewer with patient index for easy retrieval from any
Windows PC. Every MDR Express disk is DICOM Part 10 compatible allowing most
PACS to import studies from disk.
DVDs and CDs are more economical
There is no comparison. DVDs and CDs can be produced at one-fourth the cost of
film, one-tenth the cost of DAT tape and one-fifth the cost of S-VHS tape. Plus,
discs can record an amazing amount of data: more than 700 single images or
equivalent streaming video on one CD; more than 5,000 single images or
equivalent streaming video on one DVD*. Capacity is sufficient to handle the
data storage requirements for almost any exam type or to use as a
back-up archive solution, burning multiple patients to DVD. The image quality is
always perfect because they retain the full DICOM information as sent from the
modality.
MDR Express fits anywhere
MDR express can be easily placed in both mobile and fixed environments. Its
compact form is designed to allow the MDR to simply slide into an existing recorder
shelf in mobile C-Arms., ultrasound carts and/or MR/CT systems. Whether in a
clinic, department or physician's office, MDR's design allows it to fit anywhere
on the network with minimal space requirements.
How it works
Simply configure MDR Express to your DICOM network as a storage class device. At
the modality or PACS, add MDR Express as a network destination, then MDR Express is
ready for use. Images are cached to MDR's large internal hard drive for always-ready recording and exam data
is transferred to media. An easy-to-use front panel
interface allows users to control all features and exam management tools.
