PACStacks Disaster Recovery Appliance provides users with method to create another permanent copy of their radiology data in an automated, secure and verified manor. The Disaster Recovery Appliance burns CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray discs. Once there is enough data to fill a disc, the appliance will automatically burn and label a disc. Data is verified to ensure your backup has not been corrupted. These (optionally) encrypted discs can be taken off-site. In case of disaster, the discs can be mass-loaded back in the disc publisher robot. The appliance will automatically cycle through discs and forward all recovered data to a specified location (usually your PACS)
Scalable
Create CDs, DVDs or Blu-ray discs to backup approximately 700MB, 4.2GB or
50GB at a time. The appliance places no limits on the amount of DICOM data
stored or restored.
HIPAA Compliance
In order to meet HIPAA requirements (such as that two separate copies of patient
files must be retained), the PACStacks Disaster Recovery Appliance will creates
one or more permanent copies of your data. Your data can be stored either
on-site or at a remote facility.
DICOM Compatible
PACStacks Disaster Recovery Device is compatibility with the widest range of
DICOM modalities, PACS systems, viewing workstations and film digitizing
libraries from a variety of different vendors.
Data Protection and Security
Data is protected through a number of key features including multiple image
copies, end to end data verification between sending and receiving nodes, and
optional data encryption.
Authentication of Delivery
The iCAS architecture enlists multiple levels of data integrity checks before
and after DICOM data is transferred between any PACStacks appliances, therefore
guaranteeing the integrity of any delivered data.
