Since 2015, Virtual Media from SST Group, has been facilitating secure sharing of medical imaging studies. Our platform has consistently exceeded the HIPAA/HITECH requirements. We are now proud to introduce a new term that encapsulates our commitment to security: Zero Trust Image Sharing.
When using Virtual Media provided by SST Group, Inc, staff members can search for studies on PACS and select the ones they want to send to a patient. They have the option to create a password automatically or allow the patient to specify their own password. Once the email address is entered and the “OK” button is pressed, the chosen studies are uploaded through a secure connection to a protected storage. The patient then receives an email containing a link to download the secure study. To access the Virtual Media, the patient will need to provide the password assigned to that specific study.
